bombproof for crosscountry riding. I love them. I have a 2 wheelsets built up with them and am about to build up a 3rd set. They are so tough that I bottomed a tire a few weeks ago on Gatorback, too low of air pressure and caught a paver that was supposed to be reinforcing a hill but had got knocked down about 1ft from the other, I caught the edge of it hard. It bottomed on the rim hard enough to puncture the tire, which is a first for me. Never dented the rim, bent or nothing. Only thing you can see is it took a very small chip out of the paint on the rim.

I have a Rush, a 1FG SS, and a Caffeine F2 that I just got. I take the Rush up to Santos and when I go for more miles. The SS is nice when it gets muddy in the summer as there is less maintenance, plus it makes the climbs very challenging. I got the F2 because I had so much fun on the SS I wondered how one would do with gears. Rocketship! I've got a sickness, I know. ;D

The single speed  on some of those yellow trails is pure cycling!  ;D Carving through the woods, no noise, maintaining a high speed. Bike nirvana!

Yeah, it's pretty cool. There are 4 of us that all have SS that ride together quite a bit. No derauiller noise is bliss. Having geared bike guys try to hang on Northcreek is fun. Cleaning the climbs they can't on Moonscape is better. 2:1 FTW!

I run a 34/16. A little harder on the climbs  but its sweeter on the flat areas to crank out.   8)
I need to get my single speed back. Its been being passed around as a replacement bike for the past 3 months while other riders bikes are busted up.

I struggle on some of those climbs. I don't  ride the single speed at Alafia that often. Actually haven't ridden that bike in a while. It looks good in Chisel Chests' garage!!!  >:(  I' ll tell you what though,  that bike is fast!!!!! I think it's the frickin' geometry on that sucker! Everybody who has ever ridden it says its a rocket. Something about it makes you want to go fast. It might be the signature white saddle!
