LBS with the 'widest' clipless MTB shoe selection?
« on: May 07, 2014, 06:30:04 PM »
Hi Everyone.

I have wide feet (EE) and want to know what LBS has the largest selection of clipless shoes. All the stores near me in So. Tampa have fairly limited selections and no wide width shoes at all.

I bought my current shoes, Shimano MO86, a half size larger to accommodate my wider feet, but I want to get a properly fit set of shoes.

I could go ahead and order online, but I want to make sure I try them on first.

Thanks.

I have width=EEE shoe.  I went to AJs in Brandon.  Tried on a Specialized Comp - width=M in the correct length.  They ordered the width=W and they fit perfect.

I have some Shimano that are to wide for me, have about 4 rides on them.
Think they are 46.5 size, what size do you need?

I wear 10/44, so your shoes are too big but thanks anyway for the offer.

Still no luck finding any shoes that fit right, looks like I'll just have to continue getting a shoe that is a size bigger than I usually wear:(

Also, the Trek store on MacDill Ave. in Tampa has a bunch of mtb and road shoes on sale for $25! Of course, there were none in my size. A lot of women's shoes, too.

Northwaves are known for having a very wide toe box area. I would see if you can find a Northwave dealer and try a pair on. I personally owned a pair prior to my current shoes and hated them as they were much too wide for my feet.
