New trail offshoot at Hole in the Fence?
« on: March 10, 2014, 08:41:53 AM »
Saw a sign for "Enchanted" the other day. Very short trail, but it's nice to see things are being added. Looks like it was part of one of the other trails back in the day. Nothing special.
On a side note, I love the little area just off the main trail as you head back on the last leg out of HitF. You know, the dirt pit area that has some jumps, etc. There's a spot someone cleared out with a nice little berm and a hill-fun to ride-bypasses the concrete pavers- put more stuff in like this! It seems it's quite possible in this whole section, because there are some good elevation changes and berms in this area. Anyway, enjoyed it. HitF was dry and smooth out to the River Overlook the other day.
Thanks for taking care of the trails, Swamp!

SWAMP is very limited on what can be done in the whole Wilderness Parks area as it is owned by SWFMD and run as a county park by Hillsborough county. You will see some new stuff that has been added this month for the Squiggy race that will go away right after, as these are only allowed to exist for the Race itself. So, dont be surprised if these are covered up and gone come April...

There is no map of the "race course" as it is a once a year path strung together just for the race.  It gets covered up soon and we go back to regular trails as per the regular map.
