Double track schizophrenia?
« on: June 05, 2007, 11:52:49 AM »
Anybody else always feel that the other side of the double track is faster and smoother?  This thought consumes me, especially at Boyette.

the other side is always smoother faster and has less sand - less wind in your face too

Let go Gregg, you can trust us.  Roadies!!  Are there any other choices for roadies other than the...road?  Which gutter looks less dangerous?  Sorry, it was too easy.

This double track schizophrenia has led me to have another disorder...if i think about the symptoms i am in need of help:

Schizotypal Personality Disorder

Schizotypal Personality Disorder is marked by a lack of, and reduced capacity for, social and interpersonal relationships. (i often find myself at the back of a group all alone )

The person with this disorder also has cognitive distortions.   (All-or-nothing thinking: You see things in black and white categories. If your performance falls short of perfect, you see yourself as a total failure.)  "I am a failure because I can't clear gatorback'

They often have magical thinking (if I think this, I can make that happen) "if i look left, my bike will magically go left"

paranoia and other seemingly strange thoughts. "those aren't palmetto roots, those are venomous snakes"

They may talk to themselves (i do the occasional "rider up" just to realize...there is nobody there)

They may dress inappropriately (i am a fat man in bibs)

and are very sensitive to criticism. (i can't beleive some jackass gave me a smite)
