so - - - i see how you guys/girls do it now..an easy 20 miles in a little over an hour.

i do see one thing already.  i was able to keep my heart rate in a fat burning zone for a much longer period of time than on a mtb.

this is for sure going to help my mtbing

Hah!  Now make it interesting.  Put a meal in the oven, set the timer, hop on the bike and be back before the timer goes off. Self made time trial!   ;D

I put in 20 miles on the road on my mountain bike today. Rode out to the beach (8 miles), rode around for 1.5 miles, rode down to the other bridge (2.5 miles) and rode back to my house (8 miles)

It was a beautiful day to be on a bike. I'm probably going to get some 26x1.5 roadie tires for this thing. Keeping it above 20mph for a good length of time lets the humming get annoying.
We see the world not as it is, but as we are.

ok ok - after the club ride at boyette i did another ride on my road bike

here is the motionbased http://trail.motionbased.com/trail/activity/2990720

the ave speeds for the 2 laps were lap 1 20.6 mph lap 2 19.1 mph - i didn't do a lap 3 - this was my 4th ride in 2 days

what speeds do you roadies usually average out there for those laps?

I haven't ridden at Flatwoods yet but 20 mph is a good pace. It all depends on distance , any hills, any wind in your face... but i would say that if you were riding alone thats pretty damn good. Good workout, no doubt about it. Feels pretty good doesn't it. Hook up with other riders to make it even more fun. We should be doing our Tims Cafe run on Tuesday  I believe. Thats in the Fishhawk Alafia area. I'll post up if anyone wants  to join in. Last ride was around 18 plus mph, depending on where you start from, 28 - 40 miles. Some hills, nice bike lane on Lithia Pinecrest, rural roads for the rest with hardly any traffic at all. Training route for future champions in the FSC series this fall.  ;D  Thas right, throwin it down!!!  First upgrade is going to be.....

Group rides  all over the place. AJ's has been working on a B group ride on Thursdays. Meet at the shop at 6:30 - 6:45 . I believe a few beginner roadies are in on this.
