Fair price for an older bike?
« on: June 17, 2007, 07:24:41 PM »
A couple friends have shown interest in buying my old Cannondale, so I'm thinking about letting go of my pack-rat ways and selling the bike since I really don't need it anymore.  The bike is a 1996-ish Cannondale M600.  Not that it has any bearing on the present new bike market, but at the time it was a fairly high end hardtail that I had purchased somewhere around $600-700 back in '96-97.  It has the higher end Shimano Deore drivetrain, some sort of RockShox Coda front shock, and of course the wonderful aluminum frame.  It still rides strong...just had a tune-up, has brand new tires, and is in great shape aside from a couple paint scratches.

Any ideas what a fair asking price would be for this "vintage" bike?

Appreicate the input.

We see the world not as it is, but as we are.
