Wilderness Park Trail Conditions

The trails were in great shape this evening.

We rode from the Off Road Trails parking lot (sometimes called hole-in-the-fence) at 6 pm

Indian has a tree down and Grandpa is still blocked by a split tree near the Palmetto trail but everything else is great and clear.  A couple of sandy places but nothing to worry about.

I rode it again last night and the conditions are pretty much the same, but the tree that was on #34 has been removed.

Tuesday May 28, 2007

Trails are in good shape considering all the dry sandy conditions.

Rode most of the trails today and didn't notice anything major.

 Was anyone ridden Flatwoods Main 1 this week? Is it still as muddy as last week? Are the trees still down in the middle section?

Trees are gone, the mud is drying to the point that it is not a hinderance, and the trees are gone.

A small group showed up Tuesday.

- Gator Bait needs treaming.  Small areas with water
- Indian had a few soft spots. Tons of holes.
- Water hole on main fw trail around 34
- Tons of holes on mostof main fw trail.  Will make things interesting next Tuesday night ride.

The Clay gully pass was about 6 inches deep, and there were deer everywhere. I was quiet as the"small group" left before I got there. It was very peaceful in the dark too! ;D
