Hey Gary -- Nice work on Gary's loop (and the rest of the trails for that matter.) I rode it for the first time today. It felt good right up until I made that tight right turn that includes the three foot wall. I was going too fast and thought the trail went left instead of right. I rode right off the wall, hit the bank and did a vicious endo. It took me 30 seconds to make sure my collarbone was still in one piece.

My wife heard the thud and figured since there was no screaming, I was either dead or okay. As it turned out, no major damage done. It was completely my fault and a good reality check. I haven't crashed hard in about six months. Also, a good lesson learned: Don't ride so fast when it's your first time on a trail.

Canyon also looks like it will be a lot of fun once it matures a little. You might want to throw a few old mattresses over that side at that hard left turn. I imagine several Swampers will wind up down that bank trying to make that turn. I love all the new challenges!

Again, great work on the trails. I can't wait for Ridgeline to officially open.

Rode there this afternoon. Sweet new section at the end of GL! Canyon is fully open too and much more rideable than a couple of weeks ago. Nice work!

Yeah, the first time we cut through on Canyon we knew it wasn't good, but ran out of time.
Saturday we had a large crew of eager workers and they really did an awesome job.  We corrected the first climb in Canyon, then widened the sharp turn between the rocks by 2 feet!  About 15 minutes after we finished it two guys rode through.  First guy - smooth as silk, second guy hesitated a little but he didn't dab.  It worked!
GL got tweaked - Damn Graham, can't believe you tried to jump that wall! ...hahaha...Hope you didn't get too badly hurt.  The final portion of that was fun to build and a bit easier.  Once it packs in it should be a nice addition. (I rode Croom today right through the spot where I did the face/body plant.  Smiled as I pedaled on by.)

Rode GL yesterday PM and like it alot. Sort of Carteresque with the narrow ridge and tight switchback. This will be a sweet trail once it gets packed in.
wherever you go.....there you are.
Just a big Hooper!
