Trip to Miami and visit Club Mud trails
(1/1)
Kevan:
On the weekend of March 18-20, we will be riding 2 or 3 parks in the Miami area. Theses trail systems are maintained by Club Mud, and maps and photos can be found at:http://www.clubmud.com/parks/parks.html
The star attraction will be Markham Park, which is similar to Alafia River State Park in both terrain, and size. The more challenging sections all have a bypass trail for those not yet riding in the Gonzo class.
Other choices are Amelia Earhart, Oleta River, and Quiet Waters. Two of these can easily be ridden the same day.
Friday
Club Mud is throwing a party for all the SWAMPers. We are invited to Wowies Sports Grill, which is owned by a Club Mud member. You can check it out at: http://wowiessportsgrill.com
Lodging will be up to you. Oleta has great camping, and information can be found at: http://www.floridastateparks.org/oletariver/
There is a LaQuinta adjacent to Markham, should you not want to be sleeping on the ground.
Saturday
Several Club Mud members will provide guides for Markham Park. A bunch of these guys attend our Alafia FTF every year, and want to show their appreciation for the fun parties we throw.
This should be a fabulous weekend.
