Alan:
hahaha...thanks Jonesy.

Albe23:
Rules like that make me love MTB racing all the more, be it XC/DH/4X/Dual-Slalom, because you don't have to follow dumb rule to fit in.

use mountain pedals and mountain shoes.

No need to spend money on virtually useless items for someone who is riding a road bike for fun.

be careful with this idea.....

I know of someone who did this until he stood up for a sprint and his left foot came out and he ate chit HARDCORE! he broke 5 bones and was out of work for over 1month which really sucked cause he is self employed.

MTB pedals release much quicker than road..

His saving of $200 cost him thousands...

Singletrack Samurai:
Idk, but standing to sprint sounds pretty racer boy serious. A bike is a bike and I stand up to sprint on my mtb all the time and that never happens. Sounfs like SD pedal tension spring fail. Would never happen with the time pedals I use.

But regardless still something to consider.

Far for racer boi, the roadie rides they do have sprint points just like a race in a non race environment.

This was just a PSA that's it.. ride at your own risk...
