Blue Ridge Parkway

(1/1)

rottenpossum:
If any of you have ever had the opportunity to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway on your bikes, then you know how appalling this would be.  If you haven't, best plan to make a trip soon for some of the best scenic road cycling you can find before it's closed off to cyclists.

Luis:
Not only road riding, some of the best trails in the SE cross or start/end at the parkway...

Another piece of legislation that's floating around proposes to get bikes off the roads on national parks http://blog.bikeleague.org/blog/2011/11/proposed-law-would-force-cyclists-off-roads-on-federal-land-and-onto-paths/

It seems the anti-bike movement is doing real well.
