Sounds like a Clavicle, maybe ribs, there was concern about his spleen. I spoke with him, he was on morphine...... 8)

I stayed with him in the ER until 3p after they did a CT scan and xray. He has trouble breathing because of the pain but otherwise he "looks" okay.
Hopefuly there were no internal bleeding. He crashed on the first hard option off rollercoaster drop and with the rain the night before the trail is soggy and sketchy. He tried to bank to the left after the drop but the the dirt gave way and he went over the bar and landed left shoulder first with the bike on top of him. He is complaning pain in the left rib cage and shoulder when the nurse try to locate where the pains are.

He also bruised his left thigh with the bar end (frickin bar ends).
Lets send good karma on his way and hope its minor injury.

On lighter note, in keeping the tone of the ss29er ride this morning,
his ER bed is at room #29.

Dang - sorry to hear about your crash Jonathan.  Hope you heal quickly.  Take it from one who's been there, it can always be worse.  Hang in there and get well.

I got an email from him late last night, he was still in the hospital. Here is what he said was wrong:

'3 broke ribs
1 broke collar bone
1 punctured lung
1 bruised lung
nerve contusions on thigh'

HOLY CRAP!!
