Downed trees all over Boyette

No surprise after the storm Sunday night, but there are a lot of trees down at Boyette.  This report is from late yesterday.
- Lower Spider Berm;  probably 4 or 5 where you've got to walk over/around
- Upper Spider Berm;  a couple but if I recall these were able to be ridden over
- Golf Cart; 3 or 4 that you have to dismount to get past
- 1 large one on SST (i think)

I cleared a bunch of branches/brush/etc during the ride, but there's a ton more that'll need to be cleared.  I did not have time to ride Ridgeline and the far back trails though, so not sure what they look like, although I'd imagine more of the same.

Yah, I like a few of those structures myself, but they aren't a real popular item over at Boyette are they.   :)

If anyone is going out during the week to help clear some of the mess I'd be happy to help.

As far as the log pyramids go I think they're fine so long as they're well built and located in an appropriate chunk of trail with a difficulty that is appropriate for the trail it is on. The problem I see is a lot of the improvised ones have a tendency to shift and move.

Seriously though, yeah- I can't do it tonight but might be able to sneak out on Friday afternoon for a ride at Alafia or Boyette if you're up for it.  Croom sounds great as well sometime soon....miss that place.

Just went out there today and cleared a lot of downed limbs on the palmetto trail. most of the other trails that i rode were in great shape. With the exception of a lot of Sugar sand. we really need a good soaking. Ohh by the way found 3 soda cans on the main road to the trails. C-mon people Keep it Clean
