Coyotes in Trout Creek.
« on: October 11, 2010, 09:48:26 AM »
I rode yesterday at Trout Creek and saw 10 wild Turkeys, a Bald Eagle, a Bluebird, a family of Armadillos, got a yellow Jacket in my hemet, and then a couple of Coyotes were pacing us a few yards away for about a mile. It was a fantastic wildlife day besides the yellow jacket who stung my head several times ;(

Yeah, that sucks about the yellowjacket...
I've seen coyotes around the Flatwoods loop several times (bobcats too), but not at TC.
They are cool...especially when they are wearing roller skates and jetpacks... ;)

Maybe they (Coyotes) will kill and eat the wild hogs that I have seen there (we had one fly by at like 30mph a couple of weeks ago on Grandpa.) and that tear up the trails looking for worms... I sure hope SWFWMD will do a couple of hog hunts again this year....

I got stung by one on the way home after my ride Friday.  I opened my windows and cruised with them down 'cause it was so nice outside.  Bad idea.  Felt something stinging my chest and pulled my shirt open and a wasp flew out the window.  Ouch.

I think the hogs are too big for them to eff with...  wolves maybe, but coyotes would be more likely to attack/eat armadillos than wild pigs.  Maybe a baby pig, if it was found away from mama pig...
