Let's see. I'm a volunteer bike mechanic for the Co Op. Mountain bike for fun and do trail work. Commute when possible and go on fairly fast group road rides with a road bike. Race cyclocross. Oh and I do alleycats and fun rides on a fixed gear.

I don't think I fit neatly in any of these molds. A few I'm definitely not though. I'm not a contraption caption, a beautiful godzilla, or a triathlete. Though I have done an adventure race and would consider doing another. But really... *#$% running.

That was an amusing reply to which tribe each one belongs to!! Well, what do we call ourselves?? I suppose we can call ourselves a bit of everything and it is really funny how we really don't see ourselves as “tribe” as such!! I am sure that we can coin a lot of “tribes” for this one and will find ourselves finding it difficult to really fitting into anyone of them - we'll be a combination of at least three or four of them put together!!

That is awesome.  He should do a follow-up with the sects of mountain biking.  Sure to be seen is the grizzly bearded, PBR drinking, cotton wearing SS'er.
