Get out and ride a few.
I agree. That's what I need to do.

most days I can't get out of the parking lot without being asked how I like my bike.  If I get out of the parking lot without being asked then it's out on the trails where I get asked.
Either way, every day I ride someone asks me how I like it; not a question of if they ask / just when they ask.

I ride a Vassago Jabberwocky rigid single speed and people honestly stare with eyes wide.

But I'm flattered they ask and I'm always willing to talk about it.

In my garage is a 2008 Stumpy 29 FSR - the Army green one with gold bits. It's a great bike.  I finished building the Vassago the first week of September.  I always ride at least once a week; sometimes twice.  The Stumpy hasn't moved since the Vassago was completed.  A buddy and I traded bikes recently in North Carolina; he took my Vassago and I his Kona 26.  8 minutes on one trail and I couldn't wait to get off his bike and he couldn't wait to order a Vassago for himself.  He eventually went with a Soma but was sold on 29.

Geometry is everything. Some manufacturers make the 29 behave like a 26 and some do not; it's all up to you.  What fits your body and riding style.  After I did all my research I went with Vassago and have not a single regret.

I noticed today on the flowing singletrack at Santos that while I'm keeping a steady cadence of about 9-10 mph, I can hear my buddy behind me on his Niner coasting.  Can't deny the added rotational momentum of the clown wheels, especially the cheaper ones:)

I want one picture.

Just one picture please.

Of a clown on big wheels.

As Mucaro pointed out, Clowns almost always ride small wheels.
