Intermediate Skills Class at Alafia
« on: April 11, 2011, 08:32:54 PM »

This Sunday, April 17, the SWAMP Club will be hosting an Intermediate Skills Class at Alafia River State Park starting at 9 AM. We should be back to the parking lot by no later than 12. This class is for riders who are comfortable riding moderately technical trails, like North Creek at Alafia, but have trouble clearing some sections.

There will be a short workshop discussion, and then we will tackle the trails, stopping at trouble spots to practice skills and work on technique.

After the class, you should be able to approach difficult sections with more confidence, regularly clear sections you may have only been able to stumble through, and be able to apply the methods you learned in every new challenging situation.

The class is limited to 10 participants, so let us know soon if you plan to be there, and the cost is $15 (cash or check made out to SWAMP). You do not have to be a member to attend.

This is a workshop format, so every rider should be at a similar experience level. If trails like North Creek and Bridges are too challenging to attempt, or too easy, then this may not be for you.

Please send an email to jason at swampclub dot org to hold your spot.
