From Jessica:

Some of you riding at Croom recently might have been wondering about the people running around in the woods with bike helmets on, or carrying around a fancy topo map of the area -- for those of you we didn't chat with, we weren't lost or crazy; we were working on the course for the upcoming Croom Adventure Races!

The Croom Crusher and Croom Crumbler are adventure races put on by WeCeFAR
(West Central Florida Adventure Racers), Sept 23.

We've got two options available:
The 6-8 Hr Croom Crusher, which features mtn biking, trail running, padding, and a good bit of "map and compass" navigation, as well a some special challenges.

The 2-3 Hr Croom Crumbler also has biking, trail trekking/running, and paddling, but not as much as the Crusher. Also, you don't need to know how to navigate to do the Crumbler -- its a marked course.

If you like training at Croom, you'll LOVE the Crusher and Crumbler!

We've had loads of people sign up already (so far 42 teams for Crusher and 28 for the Crumbler, and we expect lots more), so you'll have plenty of company! A great post-race awards and social after too!

For more info, check out the website:

You can register right on-line.

Any questions, email crusher@wecefar.com

If you've never done an adventure race before, the Crumbler and Crusher are a great place to start.
