Your favorite Front tire for cornering
« on: November 09, 2014, 12:01:36 PM »
Hey guys, I need to buy new tires soon, and want to change up the front this time.  I have been running wtb bronsons, but it hasn't been that great on the front for cornering.  It has a point of no return like a cliff that has dumped me several times on loose terrain.  What are your thoughts for a good front tire for cornering with an even break loose point?

If you liked the wear/quality of the Bronson. I'd suggest the 2.3 Vigilante.

It is probably overkill for our local trails, but I run a Hans Dampf up front, and it grips great.

For cornering, best I've owned are Maxxis High Rollers or DHF's

My 27.5 Rocket Ron's are just under 500 grams.
I run them front and back tubed at 27 psi.

Going back to a Bontrager XR-3 Expert TLR 27.5 x 2.35 on the front and going tubeless to compensate for the heavier tire.
My Front Rocket Ron Is going on the back, they wear out way too fast, to expensive.

Had the Bonty XR-3 on my hard tail, long lasting, good n sticky $50 Instead of $80
When that back Ron wears out on goes a XR-3 x 2.25 for a little less out back..
