What is your favorite lube for your mountain bike?  Why?

Any oil based chain lube, it sticks longer than wax.
For moving bits, like derailleurs, pedals etc: I use what ever is on the shelf, TKX, WD, GT 85.

Finish Line Dry Teflon, why, because It lasts and when used correctly as In very Little, my cassette and chains last along time.

I use only the Shimano Dura-Ace XTR Sil-tec chains, they may cost $50 but outlast others 2 to 1 and give me the quietest smoothest shifts.
I seek only the 'Flow'
