Here's where it all started for me. 1990 Raleigh Tangent, still a 425.00 bike at the time. I still have it, and now its outfitted as my commuter. We should organize a "vintage" ride so we can all break some limbs riding our vintage iron.

Salsa El Santo (scandium tube-set)
Fox F32 RL100
Manitou Swinger 3-way
XT shifters, derailleurs, cranks, rings
Avid BB5
Sun SOS rims
DT Swiss hubs
SRAM PG990 cassette
Thomson post
Fizik carbon/Ti seat
King headset
I swapped the too-short stem and too-wide handlebar with Easton Monkey-lite carbon riser and EA70 Stem off of my Stumpy hardtail.  Much nicer in the front end now.  Hope to recuperate quickly and ride it again soon....

lets do it...my LTS qualifies according to IMBA racing..10 years..I'm game for a vintage ride..it'd be a normal ride for me  Grin..of course..I wont be able to do squat until my hand gets right again, but I'm sure it wouldn't be a one time thing...Cheesy

Here are mine. They are old pics so upgrades were not shown.
The Stumpjumper is been stripped of all its components and slapped into the Rockhopper which I am converting into a single speed.
I installed a fork for the 29er but may ended taking it off and sell it.

Hey Chainslap, I love that bike ! We talked a couple of times. Once at Boyette and another time at Wilderness, both were club rides. I was on the silver Specialized Enduro.Anyway, been a little busy on weekends but I'll see you soon.
