Stolen bike found...Thieves arrested
« on: August 12, 2010, 01:13:19 PM »
About two months ago I posted about a friends Rockhopper 29er that was stolen after a thief kicked in his front door in Seminole heights.
Fast foreward to yesterday. The tampa Police Department were determined. They questioned a known thief who fessed up and told them who he
sold it to. the bike was found and returned. Both men were arrested.
I must say I am impressed the TPD would be so tenatious. They kept in touch with my friend through the whole investigation and didnt give up.
Score one for the good guys.
Oh yeah..the going rate for a nice 2010 stolen Rockhopper 29er is $70 and a bag of dope.

"Dad, these pedals are terrifying!"

Nice..

The bad news:

Thieves will be out of jail in a few hours.

New proposal:

Said thieves should have to ride said stolen bike along side any trail that has plenty of gators. Said thieves will be covered in dead chickens and will drag them along side trail. Then take a short swim across gator infested pond.

More fitting then what they will get today.

Or we could just let me drop hammers on them...

GO TPD!!!! GO

I'm glad the TPD is on top of things.  The Sheriff's dept. has already closed the case of the smashed windows at Trout Creek.

Didn't bother to see if they could get video from the gas station where the thief used my credit card.

Sigh.

I thought they stole the bike from out in front of the home, not kick the door in to rob the place.  That would be why TPD jumped on this.

That is awesome they caught the a-holes and he was able to get his property back.  This seems to be a rarity.
