Can I make a request that we never ever make another thread called "'anytrail' should be closed"?  The title made me feel hostile.

Got people talking and organizing for a fix of the trail, which was more the point without directly coming out and saying it!

Are you gonna come out and help?

Set the date and I'll come out.

Well, I didn't spend 2 hours on my own time trying to fix it only to now leave it up to others...

The trail needs a workday, as does almost every thing else thanks to the crappy weather.  If it was a little too tough for you yesterday, everyone has off days.  As for me, I thought it was just fine this afternoon, but I am a glutton for punishment.  Seriously though, the trail was closed for almost a year, please don't request it's closure even in jest.  SFG/Krunch, I am down for a workday on the 29th and/or 30th.  If we do sunday, I can definitely bring Joshua(not catman) too.

I have to ask. Last time I set up a special workday only 1 other person showed up. It's hard to get things done with only 2 people ya know? I'll get with Art and see what we can come up with.

will they allow us to use the "ladder" style wood that is used in parks in the northwest (i.e. washington, oregon, etc)???  there is one spot that it would be cool to add this as an alternative option (or the ONLY option when washed out!)

Ladder bridges and "man-made stunts" are a no go, state park policy.

There will be a workday Labor Day weekend, one way or another. I'm gonna call Art in an hour or so, I'll keep everyone updated as to what is going on.

I will bring the dozer!

Dozer?  You plan on bulldozing everything flat and paving it?  :D

jason, do you have any pics of the sand bridges at jimmies?  I would love to show those to some of the powers that be and see if we could install some.  Otherwise, no new wood allowed at all by the park.  Wouldn't it be cool though?

If they want to play semantics...we could cut down a tree and use the wood from the tree... that technically isn't 'new' wood in the park...

Either way, setup the workday and I will spam the forums (MTBR and here) with the Gatorback workday.

I talked to art on friday, he said he wants more rocks in that new moonscape entrance section.  I think rocks all around are in order.  Not looking to pave, more like turn everything into rock gardens.  think tech.  Anyone on here a welder?  We really need some sort of a cart that can move heavy loads around the trails.  Who helped moving all those rocks 2 months ago?  What a hell day!!
