Tuesday evening WT ride
« on: November 02, 2010, 10:05:01 AM »
Hey -- Do you need lights to participate in tonight's ride at Wilderness Trail (Flatwoods, Morris Bridge etc.)? I know after the clocks go back an hour and the days get even shorter, lights are mandatory, but what about tonight?

Is anyone going to be there tonight? Thanks.

If you have one bring it just in case.  If not, start early and pedal fast so you get back way before 7pm.  I hear they are leaving around 5:30pm now to make the loop before dark.

Some of us will leave Trout Creek at 5 in order to get 16-18 miles before dark which will be about 7 or a little earlier.

No lights needed till the 16th when Actiual night rides start

Join us!

PS: Leave at 5, not 5:10, 5:15 OR LATER

Me and a friend have talked about trying the night ride, but I don't have a light.  Just looked at Price Point, and I'm confused about the different lights at the different, er, price points.  What does one need for this ride?

Thanks,

This should help: http://www.swampclub.org/smf/index.php/topic,6460.0.html

Suggest at least 10 watts that will last at least two hours.

Wes has a set for 100.00, you might can demo to see if you actually like doing in the dark before buying something.
