I think they are a great begginer bike or even a descent bike for the average rider.People wont look at your bike like WOW look at that but it is capable enough to show them up on the trails.Definately a budget bike.

yeah, looking for function over bling factor.. it weighs 6.1 lbs which is lighter than his 04' Pre Pacific Schwinn Rocket.. plus it has a air shock instead of the Fox Vanilla coil..

Its most likely still too big for Spencer, but I'd sell you my old Truth frame along with some parts (King headset and maybe front derailleur and seatpost if I have the right size in spare parts box) for like one fiddy.

You don't really seem to hear much about KHS (bad or good)...which probably isn't really a bad thing.  It would be a nice upgrade from what he has now.

LBS mechanic weighs in at near 300 (if I were to guess) and has rocked a Solo One for awhile on singletrack with no complaints.

I actually found some other reviews online for this Bike and it got pretty good reviews.. with shipping would be about $350, so still a little out of budget.. I like Bill's Idea though...

How big is Spencer? I've still got my white Uber V frame/swingarm for $150. It's a medium, but about the same size (top tube) as a modern small, and with the V shape there are no stand-over clearance issues. 6" rear travel and takes a 4-6" fork
We see the world not as it is, but as we are.
