haha yeah, im really happy with it (only paid $325, and its never been on trails, and all ready has some minor upgrades).  see, i was having problems with my breaks all day. i would keep adjusting them but they would either rub, or just loosen up and not lock up enough for me. and then i ride my buddies rides with disc breaks and its like night and day, the difference was undeniable.  but im hitting santos again tomorrow (its supposed to be better weather and alot dryer), so we'll see.. im new to the mtb world, but im loving it!! plus, i feel honored to have santos only minutes away from my house.

I upgraded to BB7's on my Monocog.  Stock brakes on that bike were much better than I anticipated (at the time I thought there was no way 'old school' brakes could stop as well as discs).  I was suprised that the BB7's really didn't give me as much of an advantage as I thought over those stock brakes.  But, for me the biggest appeal was no more earth shattering squeaks on super humid or rainy days.  That bike makes for a fantastic quiet ride through the woods and the stock brakes pretty much killed the stealth factor.

Anywho...enjoy the Redline!  Are you running the stock 32x20 gearing?  Any other upgrades planned?
